It’s one of those albums you listen to in a dark room, in silence, maybe curled up in bed. It demands undivided attention, solemnity respect.

    • REVIEW | ‘I Said I Love You First’ by Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco | April 3, 2025, 7:02 p.m.
      • The album “I Said I Love You First” by Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco served as Gomez’s first album back into her musical career after a five-year hiatus. This album served as a love story between the engaged co-writers, recorded and written in their home. This album embodies the power couple deeply and articulately. In this album there are many stories to unfold, from past heartbreaks, mistakes and self doubts, every emotion can be felt in this 14-track masterpiece. This album had several feature artists and collabs, including rising pop star Gracie Abrams and The Marias, and every song is very different from the last. Gomez took some artistic risks with this album. Several of the songs switched from singing in English to Spanish, and varied tempos and genres, such as house and EDM. A lot of the lyricism and flow were Lana-esque between the chord differentiation and gentle singing. This album felt complete and confident, which is the exact vibe Selena Gomez exudes in her adult life.

      • Review of The Crux by Djo. Manuel rated the album 2.5 / 5 stars. 'The Crux' is painfully mediocre with no elements that really make it stand out. It's not offensive, but it lacks the Daft Punk influence that brought me to his music in the first place. Instead, you get some bland poprock tunes with some of the most uninteresting songwriting I have stumbled upon in...

As I grew older, my taste in music evolved, and she eventually faded from my playlist. I was both excited and shocked to see a whole album featuring her and Benny Blanco. It's surprising beca

      • 8/10 On 'For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women)', Michelle Zauner—better known as Japanese Breakfast—trades the shimmering optimism of 'Jubilee' for something richer, murkier, and exquisitely restrained. The new album is less a sequel and more a mirror turned inward: reflecting long silences, unspoken longings, and the emotional weight of time passing. In place of 'Jubilee'’s wide-eyed effervescence, 'For Melancholy Brunettes...' presents a slow-burning exploration of vulnerability and poetic unrest.

But he’s been doing a lot of press behind his extremely good new Bon Iver album SABLE, fABLE, as well as the one bazillion brand collaborations associated with the LP, and he hasn’t said anything about any kids. To the contrary, Vernon recently told the New York Times Popcast, “Boohoo, I thought I’d have kids and a wife and like, that kind of love in my life. But I have my health. I have joy. I have love in my life everywhere I look.” So some fans were confused when they opened up the SABLE, fABLE behind-the-scenes book and saw a picture of Vernon, a famous actress, and a baby.

Last night, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Hadreas performed album opener “It’s A Mirror,” which he had described to Leas as “the most plainspoken mission statement of the record. It’s a soup of all the things I was thinking about the last few years.” “It’s A Mirror” ebbs and flows as Hadreas interrogates isolating mental strife. He detailed that it’s about forcing oneself out of these paralyzing moments: “I wake up overwhelmed even when nothing is going on. I spend the rest of the day trying to regulate, which I prefer to do at home alone with my thoughts. But why? They are mostly bad. They also haven’t really changed for decades. I wrote ‘It’s a Mirror’ while stuck in one of these isolating loops, seeing that something different and maybe even beautiful is out there but not

    • Music Review: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s romance 'I Said I Love You First' is more than syrup | March 21, 2025, 6:34 p.m.
      • LONDON (AP) — A lot can go wrong when a couple teams up for a collaborative album. But from the get-go, recently engaged pairSelena Gomez and Benny Blanco have managed to avoid cliché. Their joint release, “I Said I Love You First,” is not the saccharine project many might've expected.

      • I've been living inside FKA Twigs's new album, EUSEXUA, for the last week and there are so many lessons to glean in so many aspects of our journeys. The one that speaks to me most prominently is not just seeking out moments of transcendence and solace even if temporary. But that these moments can be conjured up from within us if we prime our bodies and spirits for them. I wrote about that in the latest entry of my newsletter which you can check out here! https://lnkd.in/g9zGsA6U
