    • L.S. Dunes have welcomed the release of their sophomore album, Violet this week. Following up their debut must surely have been a daunting task, but they certainly rose to the challenge and have delivered what many are calling a standout record. For anyone not yet in the know, the band features members of Circa Survive (and Saosin), Coheed and Cambria, My Chemical Romance and Thursday, and honestly sounds like the love-child of this motley crew. The individual creativity of each member has combined beautifully into a unique and memorable sound. While they are still making their name known around the world, it’s clear with music scene alumni like these guys, they will not linger too long in relative obscurity.

The new record by L.S. Dunes indirectly does the same thing: It uses the namesake Violet similarly even though maybe only through its title and not openly within the lyrics. What do you think about the new record? Well, it’s really violet! Agreed!
